Chairs and Tables Limited was founded in September 2002 in rural Suffolk, close to the seaside town of Southwold. Since then, we have grown into a trusted UK supplier of sustainable teak garden furniture, specialising in high-quality teak tables, chairs, benches, dining sets and outdoor accessories built for long-term use.

From the beginning, our focus has been simple - to offer strong, durable and beautifully made teak garden furniture without compromising on quality, value or responsible sourcing. We are not a faceless furniture retailer. We work closely with specialist producers, understand the materials we use and stay involved in the production process from start to finish.

Why We Chose Teak

Teak has long been considered one of the best materials for outdoor furniture. Its natural oils help protect it from rain, frost, moisture and changing temperatures, making it ideal for British gardens and year-round outdoor use.

Directly Sourced From Indonesia

We began importing directly from Indonesia in 2004, initially sourcing our teak garden furniture through local export companies. This gave us the opportunity to build relationships with skilled producers and understand the craftsmanship behind the furniture.

In 2010, we took a major step forward and became the exporter ourselves. We rented our own warehouse in Jepara, hired local staff and began purchasing furniture directly from some of the best specialist producers in the area.

This gave us far greater control over the whole process, from selecting high-grade teak sourced from Indonesian government-controlled plantations, through to manufacturing, brass fittings, packaging and final quality checks.

Built With Quality in Mind

Every piece of teak garden furniture we supply is selected with long-term use in mind. We work with producers who understand traditional teak furniture manufacturing and who share our standards for strength, finish and durability.

We currently work with 9 different family-run businesses in Indonesia. These are specialist producers who focus on quality rather than mass-produced shortcuts. We visit them regularly to check progress, review quality and fine-tune designs based on customer feedback.

Once the finished items arrive at our warehouse in Indonesia, they are checked again for production faults. Each item is then sanded again to help achieve the smooth, high-quality finish our customers expect before being carefully packaged and loaded.

Stronger, Chunkier Teak Furniture

One of the things that makes Chairs and Tables different is the weight and build quality of our furniture.

Many of our teak garden tables are made with a chunkier feel, including 40mm thick table tops and strong 7 x 7cm table legs. The same approach applies to many of our teak benches, giving them a stronger, more durable feel than lighter alternatives.

This focus on substance is important. Garden furniture needs to look good, but it also needs to withstand regular use, changing weather and years of outdoor living. Our aim is to supply teak furniture that feels solid, lasts well and gives customers confidence from the moment it arrives.

Our warehouse is based in Brampton, Beccles, Suffolk, making us well placed for customers across Suffolk, Norfolk and the wider East Anglia region, while also supplying teak garden furniture to customers across the UK.
