What is A grade teak ?

Grade A teak refers to the highest quality of teak wood, which is typically harvested from mature trees that are at least 80 years old. It is known for its uniform golden-brown colour, tight grain pattern, and high oil content.

Because of these characteristics, grade A teak is the most sought-after type of teak and is often used for high-end furniture and boat building.

Grade A teak is also the most durable and resistant to rot and decay, making it ideal for outdoor use.

It is also resistant to insects and moisture, which means it can be left outside in all weather conditions without deteriorating.

Grade B teak, also called Reclaimed teak, is teak wood that has been previously used and may come from older buildings or boats. It has a more varied colour and may have knots, cracks, or other imperfections. It is still a good quality wood but it is not as uniform in colour or grain as Grade A teak.

Grade C teak is lower quality than Grade A and B, and is typically harvested from young trees. It may have a less attractive colour and grain pattern, and may be more prone to rotting and decay.

It is important to note that the grading of teak wood is subjective and may vary depending on the supplier.

It is always important to check the quality and authenticity of the wood before purchasing
